Visual Expression as Sacred Process
.......holds the potential for unleashing creative energy that nourishes our bodies and souls as well as that of the Web of Life and the Earth Mother. I believe that this truth was sensed by our ancient ancestors, who over 10,000 years ago pictured the world around them in sacred rituals of drawing and carving on cave walls. Within the Earth Mother’s womb they expressed their reverence for and celebrated their oneness with her and all she nurtures.
Visual art-making as a sacred practice offers us an opportunity to re-embody our
soul/authentic self. The trust which is born though this process foundations a wisdom and strength that opens our hearts, bringing enrichment on many levels of both personal and planetary existence.
